Romance and Love

Vlada Roslyakova in “Romance & Love” featured in Numéro Tokyo #49 September 2011 lensed by Lina Scheynius and styled by Felipe Mendes.

Shira Entis, a fashion designer and lover of all things tiny and over-sized, and Alex Bell, a lawyer and seeker of adventures, have been fleamarket addicts since they met at Brown University. Frustrated by the inconvenience and environmental hazard of accumulating plastic bags while marketing, they craved a convenient and fashion-hot tote that could fit all of their wares. Fleabags are designed as their ideal solution - dapper, large, lightweight and sturdy carry-alls - that are also eco-minded.

Fleabags strives to create products that are as green as possible while maintaining high quality and covetable design. Fleabags are made with organic and vintage materials, vegetable-tanned and re-purposed leathers, and other parts all sourced in the USA. All silkscreens use water-based ink. Fleabags are made in the USA with good old-fashioned sewing.

Fleabags are locally made, in Limited Edition, by hand, in small production runs.

Office Space Redo -Update

Almost there! My space is coming together so well, I'm really happy so far. Want to get it totally finished before I share the official images but here are some items that are going into my redo!

So my main items are my desk and bookcase from Ikea, my faux cascade chandelier from Urban Outfitters, my beloved Anna Sui poster by Kozik, several magazines now stowed in nice organized storage (also from Ikea), and lots of roses and flowers mainly in upcycled wine bottles now turned vases.

Now I have some items to d.i.y. and I shall be done! My next task is my ugly black office chair. I want to reupholster it in a white faux fur I think.
This one is from Pottery Barn Kids

By the way, totally blown away by the amazing chair selection at PB Kids, oddly enough.

A Note About Dogs

Since I seem to be on an animal kick, I'd like to share a little bit about my dog. Her name is Whiskey and she is about 1 year and 4 months old. She's a pug and beagle mix (also known as a puggle, which is also a type of platypus oddly enough). I love her to death but boy is she the definition of puggle trouble. She has destroyed several favored pairs of heels, as well as a beloved leather clutch that accidently fell off the shelf one day... but her cuteness and personality is something that no one can stay mad at. I mean... look...

She has such an expressive face, I just love it!

These were from her 'Cone of Shame' time (after she was spayed, poor thing).

What a face!

This is her -Whiskey 'The Nostrils' Pugglioni- look. Wadda you lookin' at?!?
She is basically one of the funniest dogs ever. <3

But yea, she is one of the sweetest, most affectionate, quirky dogs ever. Such a good dog, once we get her out of the puppy age. Haha. Hope she brightens your day a bit!

The Aminal Print Shop

I recently discovered The Animal Print Shop by photographer Sharon Montrose, and I have to say I'm in love with her work. Such clean, minimal, amazing shots and the way she captures every animals' portrait is just beautiful. I want everything, but here are some of my favorites!

Check out her shop by clicking here. Her unframed prints start at around $25 (very affordable!), I can think of a few gift ideas already!

Love Me Some JC!

...Jeffrey Campbell, that is! If I could find a shoe that was quirky enough, yet a completely awesome fit to my personality, these would be it! I can't believe it... I've been defined, in a shoe. (Pleasepleaseplease let me find 300 dollars on the subway tomorrow so I can buy these!)

Slow Mornings

Hi there, good Monday to you all.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today but at least I have an excuse to burry myself under layers of scarves and sweaters. It's pretty cold out! I plan on cozying up in my office with lots of tea and comfort food.

Also, this gorgeous illustration is by Paule Trudel Bellemar, via her Etsy shop. So inspiring! To check out her awesome shop click here! I've drawn a lot of inspiration from her pieces.

Makeover Weekend

Hi all, happy Friday!

This day marks the beginning of my much needed home workspace makeover! This may prove tricky for me because I have a tiny space I share with my boyfriend, and I'm involved with so many projects that I need to be able to organize for all of them! Talk about a challenge. I will be sharing the before and after results next week so please stay tuned. Take a look-see at some of my inspiration photos for my makeover!
