It still shocks me how long it takes for an apartment to properly come together. We've been at our new place since April and the living room and kitchen are almost done, but that's about it. I still have the bedroom, office and a long narrow hallway to tackle.
The one I probably want to work on first is the bedroom. It's so much nicer when you can go to sleep and wake up in a lovely, sanctuary sort of place. I've been looking around for inspiration and I'm trying to find a nice mix of calming and bohemian. Our walls are a very light grey and so far all I have is a beautiful tapestry of a forest. A mix of these images is kind of what I was thinking...
What do you think? It's hard because I can't make it too girly, the mister would not appreciate that. I'll be sure to take pictures of the progress as it goes along.

I love fall, it's my favorite season for sure. That's probably the hometown talking, but there is nothing like going apple picking and having a fabulous apple cider doughnut with a cup of mulled cider to wash it down. Not to mention leaves turning amazing colors and carving pumpkins and the crisp air. Sigh...
Aside from all those things, the other obvious love of mine is... layering! I love layering. Love it. It's the most comfy sensation ever. Sweater tights, vests and scarves, wool hats. Ugh. Just amazing.
Here are some inspirations I can't wait to draw on once the weather chills off a bit more.
Lined vests, pseudo military love.
Romantic comfy sweaters and hats.
Leather and beanies.
Black and white with a pop of orange.
Pattern and texture.
Neon is still trucking along. Bonus points for fuzzy sweater-ness.

I had the winning caption the first time I partook in Refinery29's 'Caption This!' segment. Hooray for small wins. Hee.
"Is that really me?!"
"Is that really me?!"
Okay, I'm done being cheeky.
While I really like my long hair, it does tend to get boring sometimes. Which, I know, is totally on me to not let that happen. Those that know me well usually expect a hair change about every 6 months, and right now... I'm totally digging this red and purple number.
